CHAIRMAN and Managing Director

Knut Atle Ertsland

Educated as a Personnel and Navigation Officer in the Royal Norwegian Navy. He worked for several years in the Norwegian Customs Service and started in CSM in 1990.

Financial Director

Erling A Gabrielsen

Is educated at the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (siviløkonom NHH) in 1968 and has been Financial Director and Managing Director of Norwegian shipping companies for more than 20 years and had senior positions in banks (in London), finance and investment companies with shipping involvement for a further 10 years – has been a Director of a number of Norwegian as well as foreign companies and was a Director of Norges Bank for a period.

He has been involved with CSM on a part time basis since 1996 and full time since 1998.

Manager, Business Development

Jarle Lønning

Aarhus Business School, Denmark (Cand.merc finance) in 1994.

He has his shipping background from offshore oil support vessels both as shipbroker and Chartering manager with Solstad Offshore ASA. In addition he has various finance experience from banking and Pareto Securities ASA. He has been involved in the building of two large onshore logistic companies as Managing Director.

Started in CSM in 2006.

Fleet Manager

Runar Myhrvold, B.Sc. Mech.Eng.

Responsible for all technical aspects of the company’s services.

He has many years experience in shipping and offshore operations. He has also served as a surveyor for the Norwegian Maritime Directorate, mainly inspection of ships and fixed/floating offshore installations, but also for periods served as executive officer for approvals of construction drwgs/calculations and stability/loadline for ships and semisubmersibles.He is well skilled in the field of Safety Management.

Started in CSM in 1989.
